Pasadenan,
Actually, this number has been growing because we continue to expand our assessor public data coverage in various areas of the US where we were still missing it.
In the past month we have added over 45 new counties like Henry county, Alabama, Gannin, Georgia, Hardin county, Kentucky, Morrison County Minnesota and others in Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Idaho etc.

Wow, if that rate of "new listings" continued, that would be 64.6% of all ownership residential units changing hands in a year!
There must be some other "corrections" occurring and not just new listings.
Of course "foreclosure.com" constantly creating new home details pages without addresses for properties that are not even for sale doesn't help any.

Home Details pg count?
That doesn't mean that 169,256 additional residential properties are found per day or that 169,256 new homes are completed per day, as likely these are unresolved new "listings" that likely have other existing home details pages, but the software was unable to reconcile the address to one of the existing home details pages.
