If you are putting your home on the market soon, and you want the facts correct, you should consider claiming your home and editing the details. It will take 6 to 8 weeks to see the full benefit to the zestimate, but at least it will likely rise. Zestimates are just a starting place on value, a computer generated guess, based on ONLY publicly available information used in the valuation. So no regard is given to updates, condition, many, many elements, unless the home JUST sold for what it was worth. Read about Zestimates and understand what they really are, so that when some buyer brings up the zestimate, you will be able to explain why it is not a good "guesstimate" of your home's value...ANY good agent should be able to explain away a low zestimate too. These links may help:ClaimEditEdit VideoAbout Zestimates
