Home purchased in '09 is showing as recently sold and for the incorrect price

I purchased a condo in 2009 for $316,500. On Zillow searches, it is marked yellow, 'recently sold' and the price is $158,000.

This information is misleading. Even if our lender sold our mortgage in pieces, Zillow should be showing the total purchase price. Further, our neighbors with places for sale are very concerned.

If there is an incorrect sales price on your home, open the home details page, scroll down to the "price history table" and click on the little flag on the right end of the row of numbers.  Zillow will confirm the accurate price with the country records office.

"recently sold" sticks with a property for three years from recorded date.

Things on Zillow are really misleading. So much stuff is wrong. Flag the listing and let Zillow know what the problem is.

Zillow and websites like this often have incorrect information due to the way data feeds into them. I don't know the specific address you're referring to, so I can't look into why it's happening, but perhaps there's another condo in your building that recently sold for $158k and Zillow somehow is linking it to the incorrect unit number. Either way, this is why I always tell my clients to take the Zillow information with a grain of salt. The best way to get accurate information is to search public and county records, not use a commercial website. Zillow, I am sure, won't like this answer though :-)
