Homesteps accepted offer? How long to receive contract? Taken off MLS?

Selling agent said there were no offers yet on the home we were interested in. So we immediately put in an offer on the Homesteps Freddie Mac home. Within 24 hours, they counter offered by email with same price just extending the closing date. We accepted their counter offer. Selling agent said they are preparing documents. The home is still on the Homesteps site but was taken off the MLS. Anyone know why? We aren't in contract with them yet until we sign, so why would it be taken off the MLS? On Homesteps the listing still says active. Just odd. Any advise?

The selling agent can update the MLS but they cannot update the Homesteps Page.  That will be done by someone in the process of approving the home sale.  You should contact the listing agent to find out why it hasn't been updated.  Purchasing a home on the Homesteps site takes a little longer to get paperwork signed, reviewed and initialed.  You really have to be patient when using these sites and think about how many people are possibly involved in this process.  Its quite a lot.
