Hi contemporary -
I've searched for your ZIP code on Zillow and as of this writing, there are 161 houses for sale in your area that is posted on the site. In this case, it is really necessary to utilize the map zooming function to be able to see your own posting, since 161 postings cannot be acommodated on the same page.
Moreover, it is normal for Zillow users who are looking for homes for sale to use the map zooming function as well as the search filters provided on the site (i.e. number of beds/baths, year built, square footage, etc.). This helps them to get better search results, especially in case of areas where there are hundreds of postings available.
In addition to that, when I zoomed in twice on the map, I was able to see your posting both on the map and on the list below it. Therefore, to get better search results, one only has to use map zoom or search filters.

Now that you said that, I do see that when I zoom in twice, the house shows up on the list. Still, who is going to zoom in twice? A buyer wouldn't know to zoom in to see other available homes when looking at the map. As far as the buyer knows, my neighbors' houses are for sale, and mine isn't.
Is there a way to override this and get it back on the regular map and the list of homes for sale, without having to use the zoom function two times? Perhaps by re-entering my listing or some other information? Otherwise, the whole idea of advertising here seems useless. Thanks.

Hi contemporary -
I understand your concern. However, please be advised that new homes are being posted for sale on the website everyday; therefore, the more postings there are in an area, the wider the area coverage on the map becomes.
Thus, it will be necessary to zoom in further on the map to see all the postings in the area; otherwise, the red flags will show up on top of one another. As for the list below the map, the maximum postings that can be acommodated in one page is fifty, so you may need to go to another page to view more postings on the list.
Moreover, a potential buyer rarely uses the map when searching for homes in an area when there are too many available. Instead, search filters are being used; if your home fits the characteristics of what a buyer is looking for, then your posting will appear both on the list and on the map.
That said, it is more effective for a buyer to use the search filters and the list below the map to find what he's looking for, instead of clicking on the red flags on the map one by one (which could be tedious and time-consuming).
In addition to this, a lot of our users purchase EZ Ads to gain more attention to their postings and to be able to effectively target their audience. For more info on EZ Ads. kindly click on this link: http://www.zillow.com/ezads/GetStarted.htm?s_cid=ez-site-adwithus.

Thanks for your reply, JeAr.
In addition to being a seller, I am also a buyer. As many other buyers do, I always look at area first because I feel that's what's most important when looking for a home.
In fact, I was looking at a specific area for a home, and noticed that one house that I was considering was off the market because the red flag was no longer there. When I zoomed in, I was surprised to find that this particular house was STILL for sale. I would have given up on it and moved on had I not known that I have to zoom in two times. That house is not near any other homes that are for sale, so in that case, the flag would not overlap.
Since my house is also the only house in the general vicinity and would not overlap with any others, I can't see how not having it show up on the regular zip code map is justified.
If a buyer knows the area, I can't see any reason why they would even think to zoom in two times on the map. This sounds to me like a bug that ought to be fixed.

House is not showing on list or map
How do I fix this? I sent a message here a few days ago, but received no answer. I put my house on Zillow to show that it's for sale, but no one knows about it. Help, please.
