I think so much more depends on it. Monterey and Napa are two completely different areas and real estate is local. You can get a good general idea of prices but you will not be comparing apples to apples.

Hi Nicosteve,

Zillow's Real Estate Market Reports can give you this information. The info is free and it is updated monthly. To get to the reports just click on 'Real Estate Market Reports' on the blue toolbar at the bottom of any page.

By looking at the reports I was able to find the median value per square foot in each area:

Napa: $269
Monterey: $342
