How can I correct an incorrect data point that is causing damage to our neighborhood market?

This is simply wrong,  The house did not sell for $270,000. Please fact check it.

If the tax records and MLS are showing the wrong sales price, the owners will have to take action to get those corrected before anything can change on Zillow.     If an incorrect sales price is shown, Zillow verifies it with the tax records before changing.

I have spoken to the owners who have been there for several years and they say these numbers and the sale are simply wrong.

On the MLS, and also on the tax records- the last sales price for this address was $270,000.00
Sold on 2/28/2011
280,500. was the previous purchase price from the builder.
