take a look at sales from 7 years ago in the neighborhood.  Ask your local real estate agent to help you.

You can look at the charts on Zillow, but your best bet is probably an appraisal or even a detailed CMA from a local professional in your area. The MLS system should have comps available for 7 years ago. Those numbers could be used to try to ballpark a value. If you need a "forensic" appraisal like this, you may want to contact a local probate attorney. They often deal with this issue in estates and may have a good referral to get you started.
