Check with the county clerks office where legal issues are filed such as foreclosure notices. Also call your local Sheriffs office.

The foreclosure process is a lengthy one, but once the legal proceedings begin it is publicly posted through civil records in your County courthouse.  Some counties have records accessible via the internet, some do not.

I agree with "wetdawgs."  The Assessors' Office for your county will have that information.

You can search for the pertinent web-site on any search engine as well.  The most up-to-date information will be in county records and most counties have web-pages with foreclosure lists.   You should be able to search by the address of the home you are renting.

If your house is up for foreclosure, it will be on the local public roles.   Call the assessor's office for some hints on where to look in your town.
