Hi. you should call a septic co like windriver environmental. They can come out and do a title 5 test. If you pass title 5 then you are all set and do not need a new system. If you fail you then call your building dept and get a list of approved septic engineers to submit a new plan to the town for a new system

I agree with wetdawgs. call your county building departmentthey should be able to help. I will add the point that septic systems dont tend to have a grandfather clause. if you have problems with your system that requires significant rehab such as a clogged drain field you will probably have to conform to the new codes.
