HI Matt,

You may be able to find out this information by searching public records.  Almost every town has a public records website where you can find this information.  If you search a property you can find out who owns the property and if it is a bank you will be able to see that they bought the home back after a foreclosure auction.

Please be aware that the records listed online are not always up to date and sometimes take a few months to update, the most accurate way is to head down to city hall and check the records.
