Just read about some homes being raffled off, think this is very interesting and am interested in doing this! However, how can I find out if it is legal in Maryland?

A quick check of a website that covers gambling laws in the U.S. says that raffles are only permitted in Maryland if they are conducted by a charitable organization, but they would have to own the home to raffle it off. And you can't buy more than $50.00 in raffle tickets in Maryland (which kinda sucks!).

Here's the site. If in doubt, don't hesitate to contact an attorney.
