How can I find out the approximate value of my condo?

I have never bought or sold a home before (I inherited this one) and I will be putting it on the market soon.

You should look in the registry of deeds online to see all info on your condo. You can also look up all your neighbors info.

Get a Market Analysis along with market trend reports and this will give an indication on pricing and what the market is doing.  I am a top producer and you will need a motivated agent along with an accelerated marketing plan and the complete package to get your home SOLD!  Call me, I would be more than happy to speak with you regarding your home.

The most accurate indicator of current market value is the price that people have been willing to pay for other homes just like yours.  Condos tend to be the simplest to compare; here's the community, here's the number of bedrooms, here's the model.  Do some research (or choose a real estate agent to do it) to learn the most recent sales of the same model as yours.  You'll then have to adjust (up or down) for differences like condition, location, etc.  Then, determine the current market activity and direction.  Are there many properties in your community for sale right now, all of them sitting there waiting to be sold?  Or do properties get snapped up quickly when they come to market, with bidding wars that drive the price over asking?

Your best bet is to get a few different free market analysis from different brokers and this will give you an idea of the market value of your property. I would not use any online tools on any website as they are always off (they can not count things like location, condition, updates etc.....)

Talk to a real estate agent who knows your area well and can educate you about the market value of your home.

You can check Zestimate of your home address on Zillow.com, you can also check the assessment value established by town (this is the home base value on which you pay taxes). This will give you a rough idea of the home value estimate. To get a real estimate of what you can get for your home you need to speak with a professional - real estate agent or appraiser - who is doing this for a living.

I would contact a few local agents, who will give you an assessment of the fair market value based on recent comparable sales in the area. Move forward with the real estate agent you feel the most comfortable with, and they will guide you through the process to get your home sold fast. Best of luck!

Research a reputable local real estate agent or two and contact them for a Comparative Market Analysis. It's free, you'll get more than one opinion, and pick the right agent. :-) Good luck!
