In this ever changing real estate market the best way to get the value of a property is to ask a local Realtor. Real Estate agents have access to up to date and precise information. Many homes are sold at one price that the public see and sometimes the price is not the actual amount received. For example, if a seller sold a property for $150,000 and closed at $150,000 but gave back $9,000 to the buyer for costs and or repairs, the true value of the property would be $141,000. Only a real estate agent or an appraiser has access to this very important information. Sometimes there are properties that are sold privately that do not show up on estimate sites as well as the real estate MLS service. An aggressive agent that is on top of the market would be able to supply you with this information for no cost to you. Or as you know, you can hirer an appraiser.
