search the MLS and order results by listing agent. Agent with the most closed listings sold the most property.

That's not the important thing to look at.
homes sell them self for the most part we sell customer service really in my opinion.

make sure your home will be on both MLS? (we have two in metro Deroit and not all brokers belong to both)

Does the agent have so many listing he or she will not likely put forth as much effort to your home due to to many listings?

are they so busy they take days to return a phone call?

will they market your home in as many possible ways as they can? i.e
company website, personal website, zillow, do they hold open houses?
print marketing?

I would Find minimum of three agents and interview them and see what they do to sell homes in your area....Also watch out for the agents that promise they can get you $XXX.XXX more for your home than the other agents. Some like to tell you what you want to hear and then after they have you listed beat the price down, if you do not lower your price your home just will not sell due to it being priced to high.

A New full time agent is good, due to fact that they are Hungry and eager to please you and make a name for them self
