You should be able to get that from Public Record in your county. Most Registry of Deeds have an online site you can search for the record for free. If not, you can go to the Registry of Deeds and ask them. Hope that helps.
If you want to find out who recorded a mortgage or the property deed you can contact a local realtor who can give you the most up to date information on who's name is on a mortgage or the deed to any property. By "latest" I mean the latest information that's been updated by the county, city, or whomever holds those records where you live. You could, as Adele suggested, check with the county or as Norm suggested the local registry of deeds, as all information about property is supposed to be public information.
