I'm with Joe Spake on this. You should have a local Realtor set you up on a service that will email you homes that have sold, are pending or active in your neighborhood you own or are interested in buying in. Even if you are not planning on selling or buying soon it is so nice to to be "in the know" and keep track of your current or future investment :)

A real estate agent can definitely assist you with a home value. You can also google the county assesors website in your area, input the address and you should be able to get it.

If you are looking for a value for your current home or one you are considering buying, the Zillow Zestimate will give you a fairly good "ballpark" value in most cases; however there are many variables in valuation. I would enlist the services of a Realtor who specializes in the community, and if you want more professional advice, you could have the property appraised by a licensed appraiser.

First question is what vaqlue are you attempting to determine. If you are interested in the selling price of a house then I would request a Competitive Market Analysis (CMA) from a local Realtor. If you are looking the tax valuse hen consult the tax assessor's web site for the county where the property is located. You could also consult a local real estate appraiser who will look at the property froma loan value stand point.
Hope this helps

There are many ways to find out how much your home is worth.
A Realtor is typically the best place to start, because they have the tools neccessary to make an informed assesment. Typically they may provide a CMA (Comparative Market Analysis).
You can also try looking up your house on Zillow, but I've heard a lot of complaints about the Zestimate being inaccurate.
When you search your county tax appraiser's website, sometimes that information is also mis-leading. Most of the time, I find that homes typically appraise for higher than what the county assesses them for.
Perhaps the best way to get the true value of your house is to hire an appraiser. It make cost 300 - 400 dollars, but it's a valuable tool when trying to sell your house, whether you are using a Realtor or not. It may even save you money in the long run.
Good Luck and hope that helps!

Your county appraiser will provide a general idea of the value of the property for tax purposes.

Hi Prestiges,
If you would like a Comparative Market Analysis on what your home would sell for contact a local real estate agent.
If you would like to know what your home is worth for a standard value you could get an appraisal.
