You can't. Sorry for the harshness, but it does not make sense that a borrower with poor credit wants another lender to refinance that debt. I'm sorry, but it will not happen on the home equity loan side..... Not for years, if ever, will that are get loosened enough for poor credit. We would need rising home values in a steady economy to help offset a potential poor payment history. Best thing to do is to request a MOD... from the 2nd mortgage servicer.. It is their loan and they could do what they want. The open market is closed.. Good luck to you.
