It will be tough to finance the property in your name because of the recent bankruptcy. Even without the bankruptcy, if you are not currently on the title of the property, you will not be able to refinance the property in your name.
However, you can have the title put in your name by filing a quitclaim deed with the county recorder's office which will give you legal ownership of the property.
After being on title for 12 months you would normally be eligible to refinance the property. You may have to wait longer due to your bankruptcy.

Is your name currently on the mortgage? If not, would it be fully owned?

How can I transfer a home to my name without actually going through a sale, 1 yr post bankruptcy?
