The problem is that it's not a person valueing the house, it's a computer program. The Zestimate can give you a general idea of what a property is worth, but it takes a human to really get you an accurate number. I wouldn't worry too much about it if your house is undervalued on Zillow. No respectable agent or appraiser puts ANY weight on what Zillow says a property is worth.

If I read "your" Zillow Zestimate statement correctly what zillow is actually doing is driving down prices?????
That was true in my case. According to Zillow my property has declined in value by $ 33,000 over the past 30 days?
This in spite of the fact we have put more than $80,000 into the property in the past two years; (and that does not count labor costs)..... literally everthing inside and out is new within the past couple of years. With huge upgrades to boot.
Every realtor that has viewed it says; " it shows like a model".
Granted the market is soft, but how could I loose that much in value in the past 30 days????? What attributed to this rapid declne?
Come on get a Grip Zillow! This can't be right!

The zillow algorithm for valuation is too simplistic to be accurate. The zillow website has no interest in creating a realistic value for your home, even tho people coming to the site expect a great more accuarcy in the number displayed.

You are asking about the criteria a person used to find a value. Are you referring to a Comparative Market Analysis someone did for you?
Zillow does not calculate as a realtor or appraiser would. For accurate details, contact a realtor and get a free estimate! Or, for around $400 you can have an appraiser come out and measure, take pictures and provide a detailed print out of your home value compared to others in the area.
