How can our neighbors land (same size as ours) be worth more, when we have a fairly new home on ours?

We have a well constructed home and many upgrades to our place, and there is nothing but junky, wooden animals sheds on his land.  Z Estimated shows his land is worth more than $50,000 more for his land.  Something is wrong somewhere????

If you think it's worth more cause this site says so..WRONG! This site is just a public records guess. You can show improvements and updates to your house on this site though and may see some increase in the estimate. To really know, get a local pro to get you a cma or even better hire a qualified appraiser to get you the current value.

Land value is different than the value of the existing home or structures which occupy the land.  I am not familiar with your location, but it could be the location of the land, it could be the aesthetics of the land itself ie. rolling, grassy hills versus dirt.  It could also be an error on the part of the county assessor.  You can always research the history of the property via county records.  Hope that gives a little insight for you.
