I believe your question all depends on the location. There are some areas in Florida where homes are on 1+ acre but may be less costly than a home on 1/10th of acre. Lot size is not typically mentioned in general marketing unless the lot size is not typical for the community the home is located.
I advertise lot size when marketing equestrian properties. These are usualy 3+ acres. Many people may want a home on a certain size lot, which we can isolate in the MLS system.
In other countries (CANADA) they always state lot size as it appears to be an important factor for them.

How come the ads usually only mention the size of the house and not the size of the lot?
