In order to release the ownership claim, you have to open the property details page (click on the address), scroll down to "edit" and one of the options under edit is "release ownership claim".
You can get to the clickable address either under "my Zillow" and then favorites OR by starting from scratch and typing the address into the box found under "homes" (in blue) at the top of this page

I am sorry it too so many steps to get there, but I am glad to hear that you got it done. Thank you for reposting to let everyone know!

Thank you for your help. I found the edit link on the property page as you stated. Once I unclaimed the property, I went to same area of page and found the drop down box labeled save and clicked on favorite. Only then did I have the option of removing the property from my favorite.

The my zillow tab shows the favorite home, but no link to remove it. The home page where the yellow pencil icon is has a "profile", "about me" and "account settings" options. Nothing references remove favorite or release ownership claim anywhere I can find. Thanks anyway.

Hello. I am not sure that I completely understand, but I'll see if I can help. If you want to remove the house from your favorites list, try hovering over the "My Zillow" tab at the top right of this page, then Click on "Favorite Homes". That should bring up a list of your favorites. Then you should have an option to "Remove Favorite". That should remove it from your favorites.
If you need to release the claim on the home, you should have an option to do that from the home page using the yellow "Edit" pencil menu to "release ownership claim".
Does that help? If that's not what you need or are looking for, please repost so someone can try to find you the link or info you need. If at first you don't succeed and all that...even on Sunday :)

Thanks, but I've already been on that page. Exactly where do I click to remove the home? I found edit, upload pics, etc.......but nowhere do I see any reference as to where or how to remove the property?

To remove the home from your favorite, go to My zillow at the top right of the screen, once your profile appears, go to "favorites" on the left of the screen and remove the home from there.
As far as removing all the data about the home, it's impossible. Zillow can list anything that is public data, which is information they get from the tax records about the home. If it's not information they got from there, then that's another story.

I did claim a home a few years ago. Then I sold that home and I would like any reference to it to be removed. I understand that the property will still be listed on the site. How do I remove it from my favorite homes? Thanks.

Which information would you like to remove? It looks like you claimed a home a few years ago.
