I get my data from Realist, which we access through my Realtor Board through MLS.  You might try checking with your Broker or Board.

You can go to allhud.com

it's free but you will get a call from the agent who services that area

Yes public auctions, and ads in your local newspapers are sometimes good sources to find foreclosures in your area. Other places like searching the web for sites like foreclosure.com or freeforclosuredatabase.com is another great way to go.

Hope that helps!

Realtytrac.com and Foreclosure.com are good places to start. Yes, there is a fee but once you get the leads, you will see it is worth it!

I recently purchased a home on the court house steps in my community.  I watched the legal section of the classifieds for our local paper to see when the public auction would be held.  You can also try contacting your local city/county commisioner for more direction on how to attend these auctions.

RealtyTrac would probably be the best place to start - http://www.realtytrac.com/home/
