The best way to find a property at a price below Zestimate is to look in Zillow for a real estate professional in your area: someone who has good reviews, whose profile tells you that they are experienced and successful at what they do, then contact them and ask for their help.  Tell them what you're looking for -- also ask them if your goals are realistic.  An experienced agent with integrity will tell you honestly if what you're looking for can be found!

Just call the Realtor you see here on Zillow that looks like someone you want to work with call 2 or 3 and then make them work for you!

Nina is correct. I assume you are looking for investment property. If so, just serious and contact a local Realtor in Santa Fe.

A good realtor can help you.   But some of them push their own listings.  The first house we bought, we had to fire the agent and go with another because the first agent absolutely refused to show us the home that we eventually bought.  My dad was a realtor in another city advising us.   The first agent called my dad up and told him off.

So do things like perusing on-line listings through several sources and check Zillow estimates.  In my county they  have access to the tax assessor's data back to 2001 and they do a excellent job with that.
In the next county, Zillow does far worse.

Also once you have an idea of the neighborhoods you like, then drive around by yourself and make sure you are seeing everything.  I am NOT saying drop your agent -- but if you have to see a house you are interested in and your realtor won't show it to you -- that raises a red flag.

Wow! That is NOT the best way to find a good home. You should look for homes according to where you want to live and what ammenities you are looking for. After you have found a property that you like you can run a zestimate. Note that the zestimate could be 20% higher or lower than the home is worth! The zestimate is only a guideline-they have not been in the home. You can compare to the tax assessmnet and then have a knowledgable Realtor provide you with additional comparables before deciding what to offer.

Why not just use the web?  You can find houses for sale in a given ZIP code on anyone of several sites.  (I can't get Zillow to do this.)

Then look up the estimates on Zillow.

BUT Don't put too much faith in Zillow estimates.   My impression is that they vary from area to area.  One check -- see how far back the estimates go.  1 or 2 years is not a good sign.
