I am a licensed Broker in Santa Fe, NM and it is important to remember all real estate is local. In today's market, knowing your home's value is as important as your credit score. There are several ways to both learn and monitor the value of your home. It is important to remember all real estate is local. I recommend using a combination of these options:
1. Contact a local Realtor with experience. Ask them to see your home and provide you with a comparative market analysis.
2. Use Zestimate to monitor changes in your home's value based on a mathematical calculation of trends.
3. Contact a local licensed appraiser and pay for a current appraisal of your property.
4. Visit open houses in your neighborhood to get look at homes and their expectations of value
Remember, in the end, what your home is worth on the market is the sold price. If you need a referral to a local market expert in Deming, I am available to assist you.

One way to determine the true value of your home is to hire an appraiser. If you don't feel like paying an appraiser, the easist way to get an accurate updated home value (cost) is to call a real estate agent in your area. A Realtor can compare the value of your house with all the recent sales in your area. Home values constantly change and it is difficult for web sites to stay current. Real estate agents can also take into consideration all the upgrades on your property and factor into a more accurate value.
Most Realtors will be glad to give you a free CMA on your house in the hopes of one day being able to earn your business. To be on the fair side, you might want to tell them up front if you are not interested in selling your home and are just curious on your home value.

Spend a few hundred getting a real appraisal from a real appraiser. That is done when someone wants to refinance their house or to get a loan for additions or repairs.
OR you simply put it up for sale. Whatever your highest offer is shows the property's value.

If you are not talking about your Zestimate, than you can also get your home appraised or find a Realtor and ask them for a CMA, a comparable market analysis. Either one will give you an estimate on your property's value.

I assume you are looking for your Zestimate (which is not the value of your property). In the homes section type in your address and hit go. A map will appear with a balloon that has your property information including the Zestimate.

This depends on what you need that value for. Are you looking just for a ballpark? Are you looking to sell soon? Are you looking to refinance?
How do I find my property's value ?
