Norma,
It depends on the homes.  Is it an auction they need to attend cash in hand. If it's a listed property, the process is the same as any other listing, but some banks require their own forms in addition to the standard ones. If it's a HomePath property, you need a written offer and you need to upload your offer on their site.
Have you asked your broker for assistance?  This is a question best asked of them, so you can get the most applicable answer.

You mean a now bank owned home? It's owned by someone, often a bank, so you must wait for them to get around to listing it for sale. Most banks give them to an asset management company to sell for them, so you just have to wait.
