hi sdavis,
Check Zillow for well reviewed real estate agents in your area, ask friends and relatives for referrals, then interview at least three as if you are hiring them for a job, because you ARE!
Then, do the same for your mortgage banker. Rates are still historically low right now, and the pre-approved mortgage contract offer gets noticed by the seller!
I wish you luck on getting a great new home! Jim, American Bank.

Contact a Local Real Estate agent who will get you the info, advise and guide you through the process. You want someone who will take the time to explain what, why, & when to do things and reccommend tradsmen as needed eg, Home inspectors, Mortgage people, Attorneys ect.
Choose someone your comfortable.Look for an local agent in Zillow, someone with past reviews, which is a track record. If their customers have been happy in the past, you will probably be happy too.
Yours truly

Thank you for your question.  The best recommendation is to contact a local Realtor in your area.  You can find one by searching on Zillow in your area.  After you find one, you can read actual reviews by their past clients!!!  If this does not work for you, I would be willing to lend a hand just give me a shout.

This MUST be a trick question, yes?

Easy answer: Ask your favorite REALTOR.

If you don't have one already, I suggest doing a little surfing, perhaps asking friends who've purchased recently, or looking right here in Zillow for an agent in the zip code you are most likely to purchase.

The good news: Between lister posts about current properties for sale, the use of Zillow for property history, and the state taxation office, you have more information at your fingertips today than most professionals had just a few years ago.

Of course, if you are looking for a property anywhere near Annapolis MD, you can visit www.MyAnnapolisHomeFinder.com for full listing information for all properties on the market.
