There are serveral way to find out the age of your home. If you home if very old, you could go to city hall and see if they have a copy of the first deed on your home. If they do not, you could try your county seat and reseach all deeds that were recorded on your property. If you home was constructed in the past 30-50 years, you could check out the permits on record at city hall. If you home is under 20 years old, look on the inside of you electrical panel and see if there is a permit approval sticker. If it is readable, it will give you the date that the electrical was approved by the townshiip. This will only be accurate if the panel has not been updated.
