Be carefull.  Those statistics can be very deceiving.  For example there is a local broker who owns their own firm.  They put all listings in their personal name until they sell.  But if they don't, they move them into the other brokers name to keep the "statistics" high.

You will probably have to ask around, as each area will have a few neighborhood agents that really know their stuff.  Then you'll have to do some interviewing.

Hope that helps.

Research agents by looking online for reviews, testimonials, and if they share their knowledge with others.
If you look of agents in Zillow or Trulia, they will have "recommendations"  read them, and you will also see how involved they are in the online community.

As mentioned below, just because they have a large sales volume, does not mean they are knowledgable.  They could be an REO agent that never sells anything or visits property.  That's for their staff to do.  Look for a hands on agent with at least 5 years in the business.

Hope this helps!  All the best with your search for a new property.

Also, be careful when looking at only Sales Volume. That figure can also be deceiving  due to the prices of the homes sold. For example: One agent sells 3 homes. 1 for a million and two for $500k= 2 million.  Another agent sells 1 home at $2 mil. Both sold 2 mil in volume but, one sold 3 homes and the other only 1. Best to always look at multiple important qualities such as number of homes sold in past 12 months, sales volume, years in business, referrals, knowledge of your area, marketing plan for selling your home, number of listings that actually sold and number that did not and whatever other important qualities your looking for in a realtor.
Hope this info. is helpful.

Agent's sales ranking information is not available to the public, as far as I know. As a local Durango agent, I can look up our local sales volume on the realtor's MLS. If you want to call me or stop by my office I'll be happy to share it with you. I agree with the previous comments, you need to be careful in how you analyze this information.

I have no clue why any buyer or seller would want that number or any "top producer".  By definition, "top producers" are only concerned about their numbers and their income, and have no time for anyone nor anything.

Minimal days on market would be a better measure for a listing agent, but make sure it is "total days on market", as most of the agents play games on the "continuous days on market".

You could get the information from the local Multiple Listings if you are a member or know someone that is, otherwise, you might have to settle for days on Zillow instead.

I agree with a lot that has been said here, volume agents crank it out, however you could find some 'one' in that group who will give you personalized service.Regarding 'playing games with days on market, I dislike that connotation, first off, companies like Zillow spell it out and your buyers agent will tell you (if they don't ask) If an agent is working for a seller, yes, they are trying to help the seller, not 'play games' they are trying to make the sellers home look good on paper. I think its silly for a home in these economic times to be penalized for staying on the market a long time....the market is slow...so I believe days on market are not as critical as they used to do in the 'wild wild west ' days a few years back.
Its difficult to judge an agent by minimal days on the market too as they may be taking their instructions on the list price from their client as well as having to deal with a client who does not want to neutralize their home etc. I agree with Craig, testimonials help as long as you are able to go in and call anyone on that list, not just the person the agent gives you. I would talk to three people and spend time with the Realtor . Best of luck to you.

I would honestly say to go with your gut as opposed to these types of numbers.  You want the person who you connect with, and the person who you feel will work the hardest finding a home for you or marketing your home for sale.  Just because an agent works a lot of volume does not mean your home will be sold instantly.  All it means is that their time will be split more than another agent who might have fewer listings.
-Good Luck
