If anyone in your town pays Real Estate Taxes, they have a system that dictates some value put on each of the properties there. We called that accessed value. That value is based on solds in the last few years usually. I have a tax base on my home. That will give you a baseline of value. Your city governement would be the one to call there. Even if they don't have an online system they certainly have something they can search for you. Either call or go down there. If any homes have sold in the last year in your region, that could give you a baseline too. Try that ....I hope it helps!

One of the advantages to working with a Realtor is he/she as CONFIDENTIALITY as one of his/her duties... A good Realtor shoud keep things quiet, as I do with my buyers and sellers.

You can see what has recently sold by using this site. However, the "zestimates" are usually not actual market value. If the house has not
been listed you may want to go ahead & contact a local Realtor to help you determine what the value might be. Of course, you'll need to look at the home to see what types of updates/upgrades may have been performed. Most agents do not charge a fee to work for a buyer - but some do. Make sure to ask!
Best of luck - Mountain Home is a lovely town!!!

These sites are notorious for having inaccurate information. Are you working with a Realtor? If not, you really should consider it. He/she will do a market analysis to see what similar homes have been selling for in that area. Finding "fair market value" is crucial when submitting an offer.
Good luck!

You can try putting the address in to some of the AVM's, or automated valuation models, and see what they say, like Zillow, Eppraisal, and Homegain. You can also look on those sites at recent, similar nearby sales and begin getting an idea.

How do I find the value of a home I want to buy thats not yet for sale?
