No, Zillow is not a good site for posting free. They started charging in late 2009.
But, IMHO, $39.95 for 180 days on a very active website for real estate is a bargain. It is far better than you'd get from your local paper.

There are two options for FSBO on Zillow:
1. Make me move - this one is free (but most buyers don't take them seriously, and they generate a huge amount of spam).
2. $39.95 for a featured listing for 180 days.
Rockinblu, a frequent contributor, wrote an excellent blog about FSBO using Zillow.
Whatever you do, create an E-mail for your real estate adventures so your normal E-mail isn't swamped.
