I look on Trip Advisor a lot for my vacation planning, i read the reviews. They have no way of telling if someone actually stayed in the hotel or not.

Which is more likely to be actual consumer feedback?
A positive review?
or
A negative review?
I have seen more than a few positive reviews faked...Aside from competition sabotage (which is pathetic) the negative reviews are real!

why would you ignore the positive reviews?
I've been to hotels, etc that had a lot of positive reviews (travelocity, etc) and they lived up to the reviews. I fail to see any difference here.

Ignore the positive reviews and pay attention to the negative ones. No One would fake a negative review. Pay attention to how the lender responds to the negative review. I personally feel you can learn a lot about an individual based on how they react to negative feedback. No one is perfect!

Each review request an address from that user. Addresses are then cross-referenced for legitimacy.

interesting question..that question / debate has been an ongoing topic since this site started .....many lenders have been caught and removed from site which tells me that it does occur and I am guessing that many are not caught / noticed
