Frank,

Research an agent online - that's relatively easy these with days with Zillow, Trulia, Homes.com etc since they all offer Q&A sections.  After you find a few that seem like they know what they're talking about, contact them and interview them.  Ask them the questions that mean the most to you and get a feel for them.  Request testimonials.

Dunes is right - I could care less about Zillow reviews and out of area agents will offer to refer you only to collect a referral fee.  Not a practice I'm an advocate of but that's the way I run my business; everyone else has to make their own decisions.

In all honesty I feel using Solicited Zillow Reviews to find an Agent is just not a good Business Decision for any member of the Public for such a Large Financial Transaction
Most of those Agents I consider the Most Professional  who use this site don't have Any Reviews because they see them as BS..a cheesy Lead Generator offered to them by Zillow

FYI....
Agents will kindly "Offer" to help you find another Agent...This is because Many of them if not all pay each other for  "Referrals "

"Referral Fees from One Brokerage to Another and Agent Split"

"Referrals come "off the top" before commission is split. The referral is a negotiated percentage paid to another company for sending a client, either as a seller or a buyer. Here's an example of a typical buyer referral:

1. Brokerage A has a client selling their home and leaving the area. They refer the buyer client to Brokerage B in another state with a written referral agreement at a certain percentage of the final commission earned by Brokerage B.

2. Using the $12,000 gross commission from above, and an agreed referral fee of 25% would give Brokerage A $3000 for the referral, and Brokerage B's agent and broker would split the remaining $9000.

3. Using the 50/50 split from the first example would yield $4500 for the agent in Brokerage B."..Link

Might wish to consider that when they are telling you they don't discount Commissions..they can pay 25+% for referrals but Discount the Commission to You????

Thanks for your question Frank.

I would recommend searching for a local Realtor on Zillow as you can read past client reviews of them!

If that does not work, I would be willing to recommend a few qualified ones if need be.

Good luck, hope this helps.

Hi Frank,
If ther is no contact information on the listing, it is best to find a realtor in your area of interest to find out about the llisting for you.

Best of luck,
Beth Jenkins
