How do I move for grad school with no job lined up?I am going to back to school roughly nine months from now. There are two things I'll need to survive once in Oklahoma: a new job and a new home. My wife and I are looking to purchase our first home in this move. However, I am unable to do a job interview before leaving my current job. I am a pastor in Colorado, and any church that interviews me will want to hear me preach a Sunday morning sermon, which I can't do without telling my current church why I'm not going to be there that Sunday. The only way to change jobs it seems is to quit, move, and hope and pray I can find work. But then how do we get a house? Can we get a mortgage based on the income I'm making and then quit? Wouldn't the loan default or get revoked or something?I'm asking because I feel trapped here and the clock is ticking before school starts. I feel trapped because I can't seem to get a house without a job, but I can't get a job until I'm living local (i.e. have a house).
