Thanks for pointing it out, there are so many scams, especially with rentals, private sales. What we always suggest is you make sure the person you are about to hand money to is the owner, ask for i.d and that the home is current with taxes, look on the tax records. Use a Realtor if you can.
Report those homes, when you see them, on each page is a either an edit, when you open it,there is a 'report a problem' Please report it.
As the old saying goes, if it sounds too good to be true, it is.

It is definitely a "scam" as it matches the typical scam patterns.
See the FAQ:
Beware of Scams and Other Internet Fraud
Also use the "report a problem with listing" button under the edit pull down tab under the main photo on the home details page. Zillow will remove such listings when brought to their attention, as well as reporting it to various government authorities.

How do I report abuse on Zillow?
"Thanks for your interest and inquiries about my Property. Yes the Property is still available for rent and we are looking for responsible Person/family to occupy and maintain the Place now that
we are not around.
I'm now in West Africa due to my transfer from Work with the (MBF)Medical Benevolence Foundation. MBF with the Presbyterian Church (USA) we wanted to sell the house initially but we later changed our mind after we discovered that we wouldn't be spending more than 5 years. Also how long do you intend to stay? How soon do you intend to move in?
etc."
When I sent a second email asking questions such as when I could see the place and how the rent would be managed at a distance I received another response merely telling me to fill out the application ASAP. No acknowledgement of the questions. Please look into this.
Thanks,
Jeff
