How do I request a new Zestimate?

The public record for my home was VERY inaccurate; the info hadn't been updated in over 25 years! I have updated the # of beds/baths and the new sq footage. Also, included photos of the updates. Now I'd like to know how much Zillow thinks it's worth.

If your public records info is not correct, it sounds like a permitting issue. You might have to check with your local assessor or city agency. But regardless, a Zestimate is only an estimate - regardless of what anyone says, youll only find out how much your home is worth when you go to sell it.

Sit patiently and it will happen in the next 2 to 8 weeks.   Zestimates are updated automatically.

If you want a faster estimate, play with the "owner's estimate" feature.

Have you thought about reaching out to a trusted Realtor? A CMA buy a professional will take into account many things that will affect the value of your home. More importantly, a skilled agent is not just going to pick the homes closest but the ones that are most similar. If you really want a solid opinion of value than a professional, CMA or an appraisal is your best bet. Good luck!

After a home fact edit, it could take as much as five weeks or more for it to be reflected in the zestimate.
