How do I show a house you have listed? Web page is very confusing.

Looking for a reply before tomorrow, Thursday 3/10 at 4 PM.

Thanks.

Search your local MLS to see if the property is in there and what the current status is, it may be expired, sold or still active or some other status.  Also when you look at a property on zillow you can see the "history" at the bottom and if it was listed it will say listed with xyz brokerage and the date this was done, so if it is listed with a brokerage but not on the MLS, contact that brokerage to inquire about showing it.  If it is a FSBO then use the tax records to contact them to inquire about showing and compenstation.  - if it has no transaction history...it's probably not really listed- but it's not listed by another agent so there's nothing stopping you from looking up the tax record, contacting the owner and asking about selling it.  Let them know that you weren't sure if it was for sale or not but have a buyer interested and would like to visit with them about showing it.  Be courteous and respectful as some put it on here because the DO not want a Real Estate Agent.  - look at the info on the listing (if it's listed) you can usually see "owner will work with buyer's agent"

Not all houses on Zillow are for sale. The ones that are say for sale at the top of the page and will have a "listing provided by" link at the bottom of the page to contact the listing agent/company.

The freshest source of agent listings is your local MLS unless it is for sale by owner. Hope it helps.
