You may go into the listing and edit to Sold Status or else it will stay active on web-site.

If you have any issues, contact the zillow support team! They will give you an immediate answer with unbiased responses, unlike a community posting like this one. The staff are extremely friendly. :)

Get a sold rider on your yard sign and tell your real estate agent to place it pending on the MLS.

Seems strange for an agent to be asking this question?

Great another one solved, glad I did not have to comment here as really agent questions should be like, how do I get more out of my premier status with Zillow etc., stuff like that.
Just keep selling let others worry about deleting the listing out, right?

Incredible how many people missed the fact that the person asking the question is an agent.

The agent must close out the listing through the local MLS and it must then populate to the major websites.

Under My Zillow, you can cancel listing and comment about how many Days On Market.

Interesting that Zillow seems to keep homes on their site as available when they have closed. Even though it is frustrating that the listing is still there, the interesting part is the leads that continue to come in.

Contact your Real Estate Agent and they will change the status from pending to sold on the MLS that is in your area.

Dear Cynthia,
In order for your home to show sold, depending on which program Zillow is feeding from, but most likely its from the MLS local system, perhaps give a call to your realtor, and she/he will update the info and surely this will them allow your Zillow to update to a sold status. Good Luck. Sincerely, Melissa Ponce de Leon

I have a technical question: How do you actually "Sell a home" online? Is everything just done on a virtual basis?

Go in and claim it or if it is yours as an agent, trace back to how you put it into the system and change it that way.

Well first let me congratulate you on the sale of the home.
As a listing agent I always put door hangers on the homes in the area letting them know that I just sold in their area, as well as a SOLD sign on the yard sign. I also change this listing status on the MLS at ever stage of the sale from listed to pending to sold.

Your agent should have put up a "sold" sign in the yard. Also, in the MLS system the status should have gone from active to pending, to sold. Your Zillow listing should be changed automatically.

Change the listing to show sold in your local MLS. Should change automatically.

Your agent should have posted a SOLD sign in front of your house, and depending on the market and the agent, send out SOLD postcards to the neighbors and of course update the MLS.
