Hi, Cynthia,

The best way is to contact your agent, who will handle this for you!

I would think you are set by now.  Otherwise ask your realtor to check mls.

Everything to cancel your listing on Zillow is in your profile options. If you want local folks to stop inquiring just cancel all your ads or slap a sold sign on the sign out front.

It looks like this has been answered.  I'd try 'edit' under the listing page or contact an admin thru the flags.  Thanks for posting.

If the house is yours, you can always put a sign outside which indicates the word, "SOLD" and if its in the listing, you can remove it.

If you click edit and then cancel it will ask it the home is sold. You can then state that or "no longer for sale". If the buyer wants you to delete photos and info you must claim your listing, delete everything and then cancel and click sold.

If you sold you home yourself, put a SOLD sign out. You can remove it from Zillow by clicking My Zillow and your Listings and follow directions.
CONGRATULATIONS!

I put a sign in the yard after closing, with approval by all, that I have sold this home and can sell yours too. I also send out "Just Sold" postcards to the neighborhood and to my client list.

If your brokerage company does not automatically feed MLS listings to Zillow then you must go into your Listings and manually change the status.  Begin by logging in and going to "MY Zillow"  Then click on Listings and it should direct you from there.  If you want to remove a listing from Zillow then just click on "cancel" and answer the question that pops up.

Hi there,

Make that adjustment with the MLS. Take the opportunity to gain new business and do some advertising and marketing for a "Just Sold". i.e. Yard sign with "sold" and postcards.

Good Luck!

I would call your areas MLS support team.  I am assuming they can walk you though the process on changing status.  I would walk you through it myself, however I am unsure of your MLS guide lines and where you are.

Asking the question I'll assume you don't have a REALTOR. If I were selling my own house and had a contract on it, I would leave the yard sign oout and keep the advertising going because it isn't sold until you close. If you have it on Zillow and it has closed just goto your listing and change the status.

Realtors in Pinellas County are required by their realtor organization to send in status change/sold reports in a timely manner.  Those changes are then reported on Zillow and other websites through the IDX system.
Also, realtors send Just Sold postcards or email notices to neighborhoods near the sold property.  Most of us love to put up a SOLD sign on the property itself.

Jeff, and others in this thread have it right. While I am new to Zillow, I have found that using the tools for agents and consumers work. I closed a transaction on Wed. Marked as such with closing data corrrect in both Zillow.com, and My Zillow. Naturally, I am checking for any glitch, as we all should. Margaret

TThe frequency of updates depends on the arrangements made with Zillow aand your local MLS (similar to Realtor.com)..

If it is reflected as sold in your local MLS then it will change in Zillow.  It does however, take up to  a few weeks to update based on the frequency of IDX update.

Ditto. Zillow picks up local data via IDX so change the listing to show sold in your local MLS.  Should change automatically.
