If you find the listing on the net for the home you want to purchase MLS Listings, you will find the listing agent, you can negotiate the fees with that agent. Or you can ask at work and someone will refer an agent they are happy with that they used in the past.

I agree with sparky, you might be able to save commission if you deal directly with the owners.  If the house is listed with an agent, make sure you find an agent.  The owner is paying the commission whether or not you have an agent.  If you go through his/her agent you won't be represented.
