How do we figure out current value for tax protest

On a home purchased in 2006 for $775,000 that we are paying high taxes, and we think the home is worth much less. Do we use the national average of 28 Percent depreciation in value? We think it's worth $500K in that range. It's a 3 bed, 3 bath, 2,500 square feet, 5 acres of land.

You can get your home appraised, file the tax reduction paperwork (your county is who you would ask for that) to your county or hire a professional in your area that does 'tax reduction'.  To find out the name of someone you may contact a local agent.  Good luck!
