How do you determine the value estimate?

Why would the house at 1930 Huntington Hall Court in Dunwoody show so low when the others around him are similiar and the value estimate is much higher?  I know this house has new floors, updated kitchen, new deck, new roof, new garage door and system, alarm system and other upgrades. That's just a little strange and I recommended the site to my son to get an idea as he is thinking about possibly selling. The value estimate discouraged him.

There are a number of factors necessary for accurate valuation.  In Atlanta, there are some particular challenges with data.  You need a professional to approach an accurate number.  For an extensive discussion of this topic, view my blog posting here.

Ask him to contact a local Realtor, someone that is full time and very active. They can look at his home and compair it to similar homes. Online systems are just so so.You need someone to look at it that has also been inside the other similar homes to give you there price opinion.
