I'll add Auction.com and REDC to the auction sites suggested by Dunes. You need to read up on them. Most auction houses have a premium to the final sales price. And I too would suggest that you work with an experienced Realtor that can guide you through and help you navigate thorugh the process.

Tax and lender auctions of foreclosed homes take place the 1st Tuesday of each month in Texas, at the county courthouse. Other auctions (ie condos, individual homes) are typically advertised quite heavily.
