How has Staging Helped you?

Profile picture for ShowcaseStaging
Staging vacant homes for sale has been a proven technique and a valued tool for Realtors and Homeowner's alike. In a tough market like we have today finding creative and appealing ways to draw attention to the property can be difficult. Have you used a staging company before? I'd love to hear your stories!

home staging with a home manager, home tender, or what ever you like to call it has caused more problems than i have time to write about for the seller/ owner of the property.
home staging is a great idea using rented furnishings but NOT with someone living ON the premises and deteriorating the property.

It is hard for most buyers to visually see beyond an empty room.  It helps to have a cheerful and inviting decorated room relating to the area such as "golf if on a golf course," or "beach if Water or Bay Front."
My Assistant jumped in to help stage some properties that had been on the "market awhile" and helped revive them !   She has an eye for Staging and thoroughly enjoys this part of the listing process. With dollars proving well spent it can help prove to be a win-win. [link removed by moderator]

Staging comes in many forms and your Realtor® should help you make the decision to stage or not.

The simple staging of de-personalizing a home placed on the market is a good thing.

De-cluttering is the next. Clean and ready for the buyers to move in.

Good Luck!

With the clients I have worked with I don't think it has helped alot. Some notice some don't it is really the home and location that sell the house IMO.

Staging is a wonderful tool when used correctly!  It can really differentiate a home in an area with other, similar homes available, particularly if the competing homes are vacant.  A lot of buyers have a hard time visualizing a vacant home.  However, your sellers have to cost justify staging, of course, which can be tricky!
