How long does it take for Zillow to correct erroneous transaction postings?

Our 4 BDR 2.5 bath pool home at 2160 NW 76 Avenue Margate, FL 33063 has a long view of the water in our Royal Springs neighborhood. It is comparable to the home at 1904 NW 77 Avenue with regard to size and water view that sold this year for $260K. Zillow erroneously shows that our home sold recently for 155K which is totally false. That was the price of a recent sale one block away at similar address. The house that sold for 155K is a smaller home at 2160 NW 76 TERRACE, a 3 BDR without a pool and without a view. I have advised Zillow of the erroneous sales transactions listed for our home, but they still yellow flag it as having sold for 155K, and actually lowered our "Zestimate" last week. Oddly, they also show a smaller, 3 BDR pool home 2 doors down from us on the same street with a much higher home value. We are thinking about listing our home for sale in the near future and fear that this mistake will adversely affect our chances of getting a fair price. When will Zillow correct the errors?

Usually it takes a week or two, sometimes a bit longer.  When did you report it?   Was it at the same time you claimed your home 5 days ago?

I can see that you made a note of the sales price issue in your Zestimate comment. Zillow usually addressed flags within a week or two so you should be able to get it corrected before you decide to sell. Mistakes do happen, but if the last sales price is wrong Zillow will correct or remove it if they can verify the error with the recorder or assessor.

I would send the flag to Zillow again with this link to your local assessor here. They can search by address and see that the house has not been sold since 1996 and that may speed up the correction on your home page too. Hope it helps.
