There is no magic number, just remeber the object is to de-personalize the home as much as possible, so a buyer feels less like they are in somebody elses home, and can more easily imagine it as their own, Happy Home Selling! Remember, selling homes within 30 days has nothing to do with luck!

You want to create as little distraction from your home showings as possible. So family pictures, awards, and anything magnetically connected to the refrigerator must go. You are trying to give the buyer a blank canvas in which they can envision their own furnishings in the space. Be careful though you don't want a sterile environment either. Plants, paintings, area rugs window treatments wall color all will create a certain mood.
Hope this helped

All Buyers will do is stop and look at the pictures to see if they recognize any one.
Also everything off the refrigerator and personal notes off the cork board. No one needs to know when your next doctorsl appointment is or what meds. may be in the house.

The elegant oil portrait of great great grandma is just fine over the fireplace or in another relatively formal location, other than that, zero is a good number.
