How much should it cost to have a swamp cooler winterized?

Drain and clean the pan, detach and drain the water line, check belt, unhook electrical, etc.

You can do it yourself for free but depending on your roof this could be dangerous! I would suggest contacting local HVAC companies or search "swamp cooler" under services on craigslist!

[Promotional hotlink removed by Zillow moderator.] should cost next to nothing.  Just drain out the reservoir, drain out the water line, replace the pad, unplug the unit, and cover it up.
