This all depends on what the sellers plan to do as well as their level of motivation. I can say from personal experience that I have worked with clients who were able to get their property ready within one week following the staging consultation and we did A LOT of work. It was a well lived in home that needed to be completely decluttered (in fact, most everything had to be moved out because of the hardwood floor installation). Within that week, we added new hardwood floors, removed wallpaper as needed, repainted the entire house, painted kitchen cabinets, replaced light fixtures, made repairs, cleaned and staged. It is completely possible as long as you have a game plan and a sense of urgency. I would say on average 2-3 weeks is a reasonable timeframe (with renovations included). I've done extensive renovations that took 6-8 weeks from consultation to being on the market. Hope that helps&good luck!

What a fascinating question. May I add to it and ask what are sellers doing to get ready to show? Are they making home repairs? Upgrading the landscaping? Painting? Implementing home upgrades? Cleaning? Packing?
Basic, cosmetic staging - working only with what is in the house and adding/upgrading nothing - usually takes a day or two for a stager doing the work (or about a week if the seller is following a staging plan - the extra lapse time goes towards sleeping, eating, and employment). More advanced staging - which can include painting, packing the contents of closets&drawers, deep & thorough cleaning, adding window treatments, landscaping, and more depending on the house - usually takes a stager less than a week (two weeks for the seller to follow the plan with occasional time outs to have a life).
