I agree that a pool will not add value. Some people won't buy a house specifically because it has a pool. It is strictly a personal preference. I'd rather see updated kitchen & bathrooms, or an additional bedroom. That will give you more bank for your buck!

Probably nothing, in fact, it may be a negative. Add a pool only for your own enjoyment. Don't add it for resale value.
